PLANNED PARK AND GREEN SPACE EXPANSION
In late Spring of 2010, the Norton Commons Town Center will embark upon several years of transformation to reveal the largest amenity completed to date in Norton Commons. Over 9 acres of greens and park space will begin to take shape suggestive of areas such as St. James Court. Plans will include hundreds of trees and plantings, walking trails, a labyrinth focal point, a grand fountain, and much more. In addition to the park amenities, approximately 35-50 new lots will be available as home sites. Click the image on the left for a larger view.

  JIMSON SQUARE POOL
A recreational pool located off of Featherbell Blvd. equipped with changing facilities and plenty of lounge chairs. In the summer, enjoy water aerobics taught to our residents by a certified YMCA instructor. The Jimson Square Pool is home to a YMCA swim team and the center of many neighborhood celebrations throughout the summer.

  LINEAR PARK
This 2-block long park will feature innovative playscapes for children with parts designed to be age appropriate. There will be a craftsman-styled pavilion building with a fire pit for community gatherings. The east end of the park will have a large green, suitable for recreation. Park benches will be around the perimeter of the park. A dog run will be constructed west of the linear park along Chamberlain Lane. The Linear Park will connect with the mixed-use trail system that will meander throughout Norton Commons.

KINGS CROWN AND LINEAR DOG PARKS
Residents can bring Fido here and feel secure letting her run wild. This large, enclosed dog park includes a picnic table and a grounded trash facility that doubles as a doggie-bag dispenser.

    YMCA SUMMER PROGRAM
The YMCA will conduct a summer program at the Norton Commons pool this summer. The program includes water aerobics, swimming lessons, and a swim team.
